ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Beedie Group specializes in the design, construction and management of industrial buildings in Greater Vancouver. Since our incorporation in 1954, we have grown to be a market leader in "build to suit" development and are the largest Landlord of industrial space in British Columbia. At the present time we currently have development projects underway in Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, Port Coquitlam, Richmond, Surrey and Vancouver. On average our firm completes 10 to 12 buildings per year ranging in sizes from 20,000 to 450,000 square feet. Our unique structure and size allows us to provide our clients with a fully integrated range of services for the design, construction and interim financing of new industrial facilities to meet their present and future building requirements. Integrating all aspects of land development, building design and construction in-house gives us a competitive advantage in the marketplace because our own people get the job done on time, every time, and on budget in the most cost effective manner. Land Development – Land development is a major component of our business activities and is the first level of our integration. In summary, raw land sites are acquired and then subdivided based on the needs of our clients. We have the ability to complete all aspects of the development process from soils analysis to the construction of site services and roadways. By controlling the design and construction of development, we are able to ensure a high standard of quality uniformity is maintained through the use of design guidelines. |
Build to Suit – We develop projects to suit clients' specific needs, either on an outright purchase, or under a lease structure, where The Beedie Group maintains ownership of the project. We rarely sell our leased projects, instead we take a long-term ownership approach. Unlike many other contractors, we have our own crews of experienced carpenters and labourers who play crucial roles in maintaining the highest standards of construction in every project in which we participate. By having our own team, we are able to uphold our high standards of craftsmanship, while at the same time, keeping costs down for our clients. If we are unable to accommodate a client in our Business Parks, we look forward to working with the client to find an appropriate parcel of land and construct for them as an alternative option. In addition we will use our experience and expertise to provide advice on due diligence for the site in question. Property Management – We manage our portfolio of properties in-house. Unlike an absentee owner we work hard to keep our tenant's costs down. Our expertise and overall knowledge of land and construction positions allows us to keep property taxes down. In addition, our portfolio size and buying power result in lower insurance and operating costs for our tenants. From building design right through to property management, clients are working with a well established and experienced organization. The ultimate goal of the process is ending with a long term relationship which is beneficial to everyone. |
